Are there many crop farming jobs?

What type of career path would one take in order to be planting, spraying, harvesting fields as full time work? Most likely it would be working under a large agricultural company because I wouldn't have the funds to purchase the acres required to make a decent living. Is post secondary school usually a requirement by these employers? Are there many job opportunities in this field? How would someone get in touch with potential employers?
