Can you go to school while taking Percocet?

...or is that considered a narcotic? I've been in so much pain lately since having a kidney stone removed and a stent put in, and I've been missing so much school so I was wondering if when I go back I have to discontinue taking the Percocet....or is it okay as long as only the nurse gives it to you?
