2mm follicle on right ovary?

I stopped taking birth control pills in August and had a "pill period" on August 23rd, since then, I haven't had a period and tried one round of provera without success. I went to my gyn today and had a l ultrasound and they said my uterus and ovaries look completely normal and that there is a 2 mm follicle on my right ovary. They put me on provera for 2 more months to hopefully stimulate my period. Does it mean that I'm about to ovulate on my own since there is a follicle on my right ovary?? Thanks for any advice from your own experiences!
