What colors (for walls) do you suggest for a minimalist bedroom?

I'm going to redecorate my room and I want it minimalist. However, I want some modern and traditional evident in it. I know white is minimalist, but I want color in my room. I'm thinking of painting the walls yellow, like pastel yellow. I want it though more neutral to give it that minimalist feel. Any suggestions?
