Half of the first chapter of my book. what do you think?

I love it! It's so intriguing. I definitely got pulled in and want to read more :) I like the character development and the plot so far. Good job! Maybe at the beginning you could describe the Debenhams more? I was confused by the clothes rails line. Are they piles of rubble or creatures/people? Other than that, It's fantastic! Keep at it :)
